The event will be held rain or shine at Bergen Community College.

Sunday, September 24

  7:45 a.m.  Registration/Check-In
  8:30 a.m.  Opening Ceremony
  9:00 a.m.   5K Walk/Run for Hope Begins
10:30 a.m.  Children's Fun Run
10:45 a.m.  Awards Ceremony

Packet Pick Up

Pre-race packet pick up will be available for all pre-registered walkers and runners on Saturday, September 23 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Road Runner Sports (65 E Route 4 West, Paramus, NJ). Participants will be able to avoid the lines on Sunday morning and receive a coupon for discounts on RRS merchandise.

CancerCare receives $1.50 for every race packet picked up that day!

When arriving at Bergen Community College, parking will be available on the upper level of the A Lot. Volunteers will direct you to parking and the registration area. Registration will be set up behind the Technology Building.

Participation Fees

Adults (13 and older): $35 minimum donation through 9/20, $40 minimum donation on race day
USATF-NJ Members: $32 minimum donation through 9/20, $37 minimum donation on race day
Children (12 and under): $20 minimum donation for 5K and fun run, $10 minimum donation for fun run only


Awards will be given to the top individual and team fundraisers!

Top Male & Female Overall and in Age Groups:
14 and Under;
80 and over

More Information

  • The 5K (3.1 mi.) run is on a certified USATF course.
  • All pre-registered participants will receive a Walk/Run for Hope t-shirt.
  • Walk/Run for Hope takes place rain or shine.
