CancerCare is honored to present the Partnership Award to Eisai for their continued dedication to providing educational and practical support to people affected by cancer. Eisai is a longtime supporter of CancerCare’s Connect Education Workshops™ and publications, funding programs on topics ranging from treatment updates and side-effect management to coping strategies for patients and caregivers. Eisai has also been instrumental in the development of CancerCare’s online resource, www.cancercareforwomen.org.
Along with providing vital educational resources, Eisai’s commitment also extends to programs providing practical help and emotional support to people coping with cancer. The organization has supported many CancerCare events, including CancerCare’s Healing Hearts Bereavement Camp—a retreat for families coping with the loss of a loved one to cancer.
This fall, Eisai also launched a new program for families facing breast cancer: Magnolia Meals at Home. The pilot program, a partnership between Eisai, CancerCare, Cancer Support Community and Meals on Wheels Association of America, delivered free meals to people in treatment for breast cancer living in areas surrounding Woodcliff Lake, NJ, Andover, MA and towns in Westchester and Rockland Counties in New York.
