Making Auction Check-Out Easy
Over the past few years, CancerCare has received many comments and recommendations from our guests about the Gala check-out process and the handling of auction items at the end of the evening. We appreciate your feedback and this year we are streamlining the process in order to create a smooth transition at the close of the evening.
In essence, there is NO Check-Out, NO Standing in Line! At the beginning of the evening, we will scan your credit card for bid labels and confirm your shipping address. (Your credit card information is secure and the information will not be used unless you make a purchase. If you chose to pay by cash or check, you can conduct that transaction at the end of the evening). So, you can now sit back and enjoy your coffee and dessert following the dinner program.
On Friday, June 5th, all auction items will be mailed directly to the address that you have designated.
We are pleased to announce that CancerCare has contracted with UPS (regular packages) and a courier service (wine) at special shipping rates to deliver your auction items beginning on Friday morning, June 5th. You will be charged a minimal flat rate to cover the shipping, handling and insurance for your auction items. Gift certificates will be sent separately by CancerCare to you via USPS priority mail at no charge to winning bidders.
The shipping and handling flat rates are as follows:
- UPS (packages): $20.00 (for one or multiple items bundled)
- Courier (wine): $25.00 + $4 for each additional case
- Gift certificates: No charge
Note: Wine deliveries will require a signature (18 years and older).
